A Nigerian customs official has been butchered while on duty in one of the creeks in the country after he tried to stop smugglers ferrying a vehicle.

According to photos and reports which emerged online on Friday morning, an official of the Nigerian Customs Service, was allegedly butchered while on duty in one of the creeks.
It was gathered that the customs operative was butchered while trying to stop a daredevil smuggler trying to smuggle a vehicle through one of the creeks in country.
The identity of the customs official and where the incident happened were not ascertained by TORI News as at the time of filing this report.
