According to fresh reports emerging, the Islamic State, ISIS has invaded West Africa for recruitment of potential terrorists.
A human right organisation, Global Risk Insights, on Thursday, September 17, raised an alert that ISIS terrorist group has started recruiting youths in Ghana.
The study says potential recruits are enticed by Islamic State’s promise of a “lavish lifestyle in Syria and Iraq’’ and better living conditions for families left behind.
The human right groupp attributed the success of the plan of the terrorist group to unemployment which remained high in Ghana, especially among the youths as one of the reasons they easily penetrated.
The group sighted the example of
Nazir Mohammed Alema, 25, a Geography undergraduate at Kwame Nkrumah University, who made headlines recently when he disappeared from home in Ghana to join ISIS.
