According to a report by Daily Star UK, the wreckage of a plane that crashed into a mountain in Iran has been found, local media report.
 
The Aseman Airlines passenger plane plummeted into the Zagros mountains yesterday and killed all 66 people on board.
 
The deputy governor of Kohgiluyeh and Boyer-Ahmad province reportedly said the wreckage had been located near Dengezlu village, in Semirom county.
 
However, Iran’s Civil Aviation Organisation could not confirm the claim.
 
The craft was travelling from Tehran to the south-western city of Yasuj.
 
However, the ATR 72 plane disappeared from flight-tracking radar just 50 minutes after it took off at 5am (1.30am GMT) local time.
 
Heavy wind and snow forced the search to be called off yesterday.
 
The crash site is thought to be approximately 14 miles from Yasuj.
 
Local media claim the pilot tried to make an emergency landing seconds before it crashed.
