A woman has been rushed to the intensive care unit of the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba after her husband attacked her with a machete.

A Nigerian man has left many people in serious shock after attacking his wife with a machete before killing himself in Delta state.
The woman identified as Evangelist Mrs Promise was left in critical condition at the intensive care unit of the Federal Medical Centre, Asaba as her husband left her with deep machete cuts.
The sad incident happened on Monday evening.
It was gathered that the woman had returned from a journey that evening without any premonition what awaited her at home. As soon as she entered their room the man allegedly attacked her with the machete.
The son then alerted the neighbours who reported the case to the police. Police later arrived the scene only to meet the man on the floor. He was said to have used the same machete to kill himself.
His corpse has been deposited in an undisclosed mortuary.
