2019 Election: Another House Of Reps Member Defects To APC

A member of the House of Representatives from Oyo state, has defected from the Labour Party to the ruling All Progressives Congress.

A member of the federal house of representatives, from Oyo state, Hon. Ogunwuyi Segun, has on Thursday, defected from the Labour Party (LP) to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
 
The Reps' deputy speaker, Yusuf Lasun, announced the lawmaker’s defection during plenary at the national assembly on Thursday.
 
Segun, who represents Ogbomosho north/south/Orire federal constituency of Oyo, said he left the LP as a result of the division within the party, adding that there are two parallel executives at the national level of his former party.
  
The last defection in the house was on January 23, by Mayowa Akinfolarin, who left from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
 
About nine other lawmakers have switched over to either the PDP or the APC in the last one year.
