Coalition of Yoruba Youth organizations under the auspices of Yoruba Council of Youth (YCY) has accused President Buhari as being behind the travails of the Senate President, Bukola Saraki in the Code of Conduct Tribunal.

According to the Vanguard, President Muhammadu Buhari has been accused of having a hand in the ongoing Code of Conduct trial of Senate President, Senator Bukola Saraki.
The accusation was made by the Coalition of Yoruba Youth organizations under the auspices of Yoruba Council of Youth (YCY).
The group believes Saraki is being purposely persecuted as a ploy to extend the assumed release period of the names of ministerial nominees which gives Buhari the opportunity to run the country alone. The statement was made in Abuja on Monday, 21st of September by the president of the association, Aremo Oladotun Hassan.
Hassan said:
“We challenge the ways and manner of the sudden crude methodology and hasty wake of the CCB and CCT to have bracingly ordered the Inspector General of Police to arrest Senator Bukola Saraki, without due diligence fair-hearing exercise of its inherent powers, over allegation of 2003 declared assets, conclusively raised the suspicion, doubt and act of omission, which informed the questionable intentions, impregnated with deceits and indirect high-handedness veil of the CCT.
“This portends great danger, that for CCB to have waited this long at the peak week of September Senate Screening of President Muhammodu Buhari’s proposed ministerial nominees, another attempt to postpone and elongate the appointment of Ministers.
“We vehemently resist all attempt to drag the hallowed seat of the Senate President and Dr. Bukola Saraki into the mud and mucky waters of nepotism, witch-hunting and blackmail, predicated on politically motivated power tussle and shenanigans of the internal APC party permutations of sharing formula of offices amongst its divided tents that formed All Progressives Congress (APC), which is the nucleus genesis that caused the current show of Unclad fire-powers and deadly force of shame. Displaying the Hand of Esau and Voice of Jacob syndrome.”
The coalitions also condemned the call for the resignation of Saraki, adding that an accused is presumed innocent, until the contrary is proven in a competent court of law.
