Nigerians are accused of being the most fraudulent people in the world, but Nigerians are also being duped by foreigners in our own country. A United Kingdom citizen has been locked up for defrauding Nigerians of 70 million naira.
Saheed Mohammad Cameran
A UK citizen, Saheed Mohammad Cameran, 48, has been arrested by the operatives of the Special Anti-Robbery Squad (SARS), Lagos State Command for defrauding seven Nigerians of N70m under the pretext of supplying them diesel.
Saheed was caught while trying to smuggle himself out of the country through Muritala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja.
According to reports, the Special Fraud Unit (SFU) Milverton, Ikoyi, Lagos have taken over the case, but the unit’s spokeperson, DSP Ngozi Isintume said she has not been brief about the case.
According to The Nation, the Lagos State Police Command Public Relations Officer, DSP Ken Nwosu, confirmed the transfer of the case to the SFU on Thursday.
