Policemen in Enugu state have arrested a heartless man who brutally murdered his friend in Enugu state.

A man identified as Chigozie Ugwu has reportedly stabbed his friend, Nwoye Arua, 35, to death. The tragic incident took place around 10:30p.m. at Amegu Ejona Orba in Udenu Local Government Area of Enugu State.
According to the state Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO), SP Ebere Amaraizu, who confirmed the incident to journalists in Enugu, the suspect had taken to his heels after allegedly stabbing his victim with a knife over a yet to be established reason. Amaraizu said that following the report, a manhunt for the suspect was intensified, having rushed the victim to Nwosai Foundation Hospital for medical attention.
According to him, the suspect was arrested while the victim was later confirmed dead by the doctor and the remains deposited in the hospital mortuary.
He said: “The suspect is helping the operatives of the Homicide Section of the State Criminal Investigations and Intelligence Department (SCIID) in their full scale investigations.”
The PPRO said the command, through the operatives of Udenu Division, had commenced a full scale investigation into the alleged murder.
