Assailants Launch Fresh Attack, Kill 25 People At Night In Plateau

Some assailants have reportedly launched an attack in a Plateau State community, leaving as many as twenty-five persons dead.

According to a report by Vanguard, as many as 25 people have again been killed Monday night at Dundu village, Kwall District of Bassa local government area of Plateau State. 
 
There has been renewed attacks by people residents say are Fulani men in that local government area in the last one week and some of those killed were scheduled to be given a mass burial today.
 
The fresh attack claimed the lives of 19 men, three women and three children but the State Police Public Relations Officer, PPRO, Mathias Tyopev who confirmed the incident stated the figure is uncertain.
 
Tyopev said, “Yes, there has been an attack but right now, we don’t have the figure but the DCP Operations is on his way to the village to ascertain the true position. Once we establish the fact, I’ll get back to you.”
