A man has stunned some church workers after he used currencies Nigeria had used as legal tenders before officially sticking to the Naira notes.

A Twitter user identified as Reeta Kay (@Reetah_kay), has taken to the social networking platform to share the picture of the old ‘one pound’ a Nigerian man dropped in an offering basket during a church service.
The currency was used in Nigeria between 1907 and 1973.
The lady wondered how a person would have kept such a currency for a very long time before dropping it in the offering basket.
Her post reads: “After Sunday service those counting the money did their work and guess what they found? ‘Nigeria's own One Pound’ I mean ‘one pound’ used between d year 1907 and 1973... Now my question is, how did dis person manage to keep dis currency till date?”
