A promising Nigerian student getting formal education abroad has passed away after his encounter with a water body.

A 24-year-old Nigerian student has died after drowning at a beach in Cyprus.
The student, identified as Hassan Babatunde, reportedly drowned at the Alagadi-2 region beach in Girne, on Wednesday afternoon.
According to a media platform - Olomoinfo, Hassan was a student at the Near East University and had just transferred to the Cyprus International University.
