Conspiracy? El-Rufai Allegedly Provided Evidences Against Saraki at the Tribunal

There are interesting revelations as to the sources of the evidences tendered against Senate President Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal today, 22nd of September.

A statement by the prosecution lawyer, Rotimi Jacobs in the ongoing trial of Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki at the Code of Conduct Tribunal over allegations of false declaration of assets revealed that the evidences against the Senate President were provided by the Governor of Kaduna state, Mallam Nasir El-Rufai.

Media reports have it that El-Rufai could have gathered the classified information during his time as the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, Abuja from 16 July 2003 to 29 May 2007.

This further strengthens the rumours on a possible political conspiracy and witch-hunt against Saraki. Tori news will keep readers informed when more concrete findings are made.
