An angry mob beat up a police officer in the Ogbomoso area of Oyo state after accusing him and his team of causing a ghastly road accident.
The mobbed police officer
A policeman was beaten up by people in Ogbomoso road in Oyo state after the police vehicle he was riding in was accused of causing an accident in the area.
According to eyewitness reports, a police van was chasing a taxi for some unknown reaon. In the process, the driver of the taxi lost control of his vehicle and ran into another vehicle. This led to a ghastly accident as both vehicle went off the road to a nearby bush and caught fire leading to destruction of properties and severe degrees of injuries.
Residents who were watching were angered by the ill-fated development and then descended on the policemen who managed to escape in their van except for this one officer who was brutally beaten by the mob.
