A social media user based in the northern part of the country has shared pictures of suspected Fulani herdsmen buying fuel in their motorcycles with assault rifles strapped to their bodies.

Reports trending on social media have it that some men in plain clothes were seen parading themselves in the restive area of Zamfara State where many have lost their lives as a result of gun violence.
Rumours have it that the men seen in native attires riding bikes are not members of a vigilante group but actually herdsmen without any confrontation by security operatives.
A social media user named Bose Rahila Adamu reported the incident with pictures and captioned them:
"In Zamfara State people carry weapons feely in broad daylight and kill with impunity and all the governor could no is to condemn as if Nigeria is UK; how can the man prove he has nothing to do with what is happening in d state?"
