An English Premier League club has announce on Monday that its manager has left the bottom-of-the-table club by mutual consent.

Alan Pardew has left West Brom by mutual consent, the Premier League club has announced.

Pardew took over as head coach from Tony Pulis in November but only managed to win one of his 18 league games in charge, as the Baggies remain rooted to the bottom of the table on 20 points.

Sky Sports News understands the atmosphere at the Hawthorns during their 2-1 defeat against Burnley prompted the club to take action.
Assistant head coach John Carver will also be leaving, with first-team coach Darren Moore taking temporary charge for the six remaining games of the season.

A West Brom statement on Monday read: "The Club would like to thank Alan and John for their efforts and wish them well in their future endeavours."

Last week, returning chief executive Mark Jenkins warned he needed "to restructure the club so it is able to compete and exist long-term in the Premier League".

The Baggies are on a run of nine consecutive defeats in all competitions and are set to face Swansea at The Hawthorns on Saturday.
