It has been reported that the Governor of Imo State, Owelle Rochas Okorocha, recently rescued an accident victim whose vehicle, a Sienna Bus was hit by an oncoming lorry.
The accident reportedly occurred along the newly expanded Aba-Owerri Highway on Sunday evening.
Local reports show that the governor was on his way to Imo International Cargo Airport where he is expected to attend a crucial meeting later today in Abuja but spared time to offer first aide to the family members although no life was lost.

On seeing the incident, the Governor alighted from his Jeep, personally rescued the victim, ordered for an emergency ambulance and facilitated quick medical attention to the affected who were embarking on site seeing within Owerri Capital city before the incident struck.
And as at the time of filing this report, the patient has started recuperating.
