Goodluck Jonathan mourns the passing of Chief Imam of National Mosque

The President, Goodluck Jonathan sends out his condolences to the entire muslim community after the passing of Ustaz Musa Muhammed. He was the chief Imam of Abuja National Mosque, Abuja.

President Goodluck Jonathan on Sunday mourned with the entire Muslim community over the loss of the Chief Imam of the National Mosque.
 
A statement by presidential spokesman, Dr. Reuben Abati noted that the late Chief Imam would be remembered as a bridge-builder who passionately and diligently promoted inter-religious understanding and co-operation.
 
The statement made noted: “President Goodluck Ebele Jonathan extends heartfelt condolences to the Muslim community on the death of Ustaz Musa Muhammed, the Chief Imam of Abuja National Mosque.
 
“President Jonathan also commiserates with members of the family of the late cleric who greatly inspired his followers with his exemplary lifestyle, moral conduct and teachings.

“President Jonathan believes that Ustaz Muhammed, who stood out as a passionate and diligent promoter of inter-religious understanding and co-operation, will always be remembered as a bridge-builder and a gentleman in every circumstance.

“The President prays that Allah in his mercy will grant him peaceful rest in Al-Jannah Firdaus”.
