President Muhammadu Buhari is likely to suffer a bad fate come 2019 as an Anglican Bishop has prophesied what will happen.

Bishop of Amichi Anglican Diocese, Right Reverend Ephraim Ikeakor

The Bishop of Amichi Anglican Diocese in Nnewi South Local Government Area of Anambra State, Right Reverend Ephraim Ikeakor has said that President Muhammadu Buhari will be voted out by Nigerians in 2019.

According to The Independent, Bishop Ikeakor bared his mind during the burial of an Aba-based businessman, Pa Ebenezer Okoli of Umuezenwaka, Ngo village, Igbo-Ukwu in Aguata Local Government Area yesterday.

The cleric said that President Buhari’s declaration for a second tenure was the greatest embarrassment to Nigerians contrary to the President’s earlier promise during one of his electioneering campaigns that he would run for only one tenure.

The Bishop said he felt so bad about the declaration of President Buhari is the age at which the President is still thinking about piloting the affairs of this country.

He described it as an insult to the sensibilities of the younger Nigerians who are vibrant, innovative and capable of bringing a true change to the nation.

Looking at the volume of bloodletting in Nigeria under President Buhari’s watch, economic hardship despite the claims that Nigeria has exited recession and other socio-economic and socio-political issues besetting the country, the Bishop concluded that Buhari’s leadership is a failed one. He said his conclusion was unbiased and had nothing to do with tribe or religion.

“I’m not a politician but as a religious leader; I must speak the truth. Leadership at the centre is not the best for Nigeria. The man in charge does not belong to this generation. It is not a matter of tribe or religion but it is a matter of the destiny of this nation.
“We want the youths and their innovative thinking. Whether you like it or not, we have a failed leadership and Nigerians will rise up at the appropriate time not with arms but with their votes to change the narrative,” Bishop Ikeakor posited.
