Pictures of some lifeless pastoralists are being shared around on social media with reports that they were murdered in the northern part of the country.

According to reports, two Fulani men were shot dead by unknown assailants yesterday in Maru Local Government Area of Zamfara State.
The first victim identified as Abdullahi Buffalo was killed by the attackers before his colleague Malam Shehu Badakkare, was hacked to death moments later after they failed to shoot their guns.
The corpses of the victims have already been deposited at a hospital in Gusau, Zamfara state capital.
