Popular Nigerian superstar, Davido, has given a fan a whopping $1000 just to get back at a troll on social media.

Davido stunned his many fans on social media recently when he gifted one of them a whopping $1000 just to get back at a someone who trolled him.
Trouble started when one of Davido's twitter followers identified as Hopewell, with the handle @hopewellc made a post insinuating that Davido showed up in Zimbabwe and nobody cared about who he was or even cheered for him as people would normally do for superstars.
When he finally made the anticipated 'next post',
Davido's excited followers began to suggest different names with the singer retweeting many of them.
Finally, when one of his followers suggested that Hopewell looked like a beggar, Davido quickly settled for it and asked the suggester to send his account details and receive the $1000.
It has not been confirmed if the suggester got the reported $1000.
