The wave of controversy trailing the trial of the embattled Senate President, Bukola Saraki has continued to gather steam as the opposition party have renewed their support for the senator.

A People's Democratic Party Senator has declared that it will be difficut for the All Progressives Congress to successfully impeach Senate President Bukola Saraki.
The PDP lawmaker,Senator Mathew Urhoghidem, representing Edo South, revealed this to THISDAY on Sunday night, September 27 in Abuja.
It was gathered that some APC leaders have been meeting with the APC senators and a few PDP senators to impeach the Senate President.
However, when asked whether some PDP senators were working with the APC to impeach the Senate President, Senator Urhoghide said: “There is nothing like that; it is not true; all the PDP senators are working together. Yes, there have been plans by some APC leaders to remove him but we are watching.
“It is going to be very difficult to remove him in this Senate, but if they succeed - using the Code of Conduct Tribunal to remove him, the APC will still not be able to produce the Senate President. Saraki is our product.’’
He also added that he was not sure whether the Senate will raise the issue, when it resumes on Tuesday
