One senior lecturer in the South South region of Nigeria named Mr Tobi Benson has been abducted by armed men who have demanded for a staggering sum of N100 million as a condition for his release.
A senior lecturer of the Delta State-owned polytechnic in Ogwashi-Uku in Delta state, Mr Tobi Benson, was kidnapped by a four-man armed gang at his home along Assemblies of God Church street, off Isah road, Ogwashi-Uku, on Monday September 28th.
Eyewitnesses say the middle aged man was dragged out of his car at gun point after he packed his car in his garage and was moved into another waiting vehicle.
The kidnappers have contacted his wife and are demanding a N100 million ransom.
Confirming the kidnap, the Delta state Police Public Relations Officer, Celestina Kalu said the police was doing everything possible to ensure the lecturer is freed.
