The Nigerian public have been urged to know the genotype of their partners before marriage so as to forestall any incident of sickle cell disease.
One Morenikejimi aka Miss Gbeborun has narrated a heartbreaking story of how she lost an old friend, with two other siblings of the friend dying much later due to their sickle cell disease.
An appeal has been made to Nigerians to know their genotype and that of their lovers before marriage rather than remain blinded by love.
