The former minister of petroleum, Diezani Alison-Madueke, may not appear at the London Magistrate Court on Monday, October 5, over charges of corruption and money laundering, it was learnt.
Sam Piranty, a journalist with the British Broadcasting Corporation (BBC), who is monitoring the event revealed this via his twitter handle.

Mrs Alison-Madueke, was arrested on Friday, October 2, by the International Corruption Unit (ICU) of the UK’s National Crimes Agency and was later granted bail after been detained for several hours.
The agency disclosed that five people were arrested “across London” as part of an investigation into suspected bribery and money laundering offenses, adding that investigation into activities of Alison-Madueke, started back in 2013.
In the same vein operatives of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) stormed the Asokoro, Abuja residence of the former petroleum minister, in what has been described as part of a multinational investigation of the former minister.
