A man who said that he had not seen his wife's face before their wedding day because she wore a veil, has done the unbelievable after discovering that she had a beard and spoke like a man.

In a unique case, an Indian man sought divorce from his wife, claiming that she was not only growing a beard, but also sounded like a man.
Rupesh told the court that he had not seen Rupa's face before marriage. When he went to see her for the first time, her face was covered with a dupatta (veil). His in-laws did not allow him to see her face, citing social tradition.
According to Rupesh, after his meeting with Rupa, his in-laws fixed their engagement in a short period. During the wedding ceremony as well, Rupesh could not see his wife's face.
"When I saw Rupa for the first time, she had make-up on. After spending seven days with Rupa, I went out of town for my job. But after returning, I noticed she was growing a beard, and also realized that she sounds like a man."
When Rupesh informed his in-laws about this, they allegedly told him that he had no choice but to stay with her as they were now married. The matter eventually reached the police and Rupesh finally filed a divorce application.
Meanwhile, objecting to Rupesh's claims, Rupa's lawyer argued before the court that all the allegations were false and baseless.
Rupa's lawyer also said that Rupesh's family had demanded dowry, which was given by Rupa's family. Rupesh's family members used to torture Rupa mentally and physically, the lawyer added.
Rupa said she was ready to live with Rupesh. She added that Rupesh was earning 50,000 per month and he should give alimony of 20,000 per month to her if they were divorced.
After hearing arguments of both the parties, the court rejected Rupesh's divorce application by saying that divorce cannot be granted on such grounds.
The court also said that Rupesh had not attended court proceedings on many occasions and his lawyer had also been absent.
