Nigeria's First Republican Parliamentary Secretary, Sarkin Fada Is Dead At 107

A Parliamentary Secretary during Nigeria's First Republic, Sarkin Fada, has been reported to have passed away.

Alhaji Sule Gaya, Sarkin Fadar Kano has died, the News Agency of Nigeria, NAN, reports.
 
He died on Thursday evening in Kano after a protracted illness, according to a family member,  Hajiya Amina Abdullahi.
 
According to Amina, Alhaji Gaya would be buried at 10 am Friday at the Palace.
 
Aged 107, the deceased left behind many children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren amongst whom is Dr Binta Sulaiman of Mass Communications Department of Bayero University Kano.
 
Alhaji Gaya was a member of the Northern Region’s legislature and once served as the parliamentary secretary in the regional ministry of Lands and Survey during the First Republic.
