Controversial Minister of Interior, Abba Moro, who nearly lost his job after the fatal immigration recruitment last year; has spoken on the Military's success so far against insurgency. The Minister says he's very sure all claimed territories by the insurgents will be recovered before MAY 29th.
The Minister of Interior, Mr Abba Moro, said the Federal Government can and will recover all the territories lost to Boko Haram before May 29.
The minister made the promise on Tuesday in Abuja at the inauguration of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Housing Estate, Phase 3, Dawaki, Abuja.
''With the commitment of Nigerian military, it is our hope as a government that by May 29, 2015, Boko Haram and its activities will become history," he said.
He urged the NSCDC to continue to contribute their quota to the fight against insurgency in the North- East, especially as regards intelligence gathering and rehabilitation of the rescued victims.
On the NSCDC housing scheme, Moro commended the management for the foresight and expressed optimism that the gesture would go a long way in boosting the morale of officers.
He challenged other security services to emulate the NSCDC as this would go a long way in addressing the housing deficit in the country in line with the transformation agenda.
