As their elimination from the Russia 2018 World Cup is still hanging on the balance, Argentina players took time out on Sunday to celebrate their captain, Lionel Messi who clocked 31 years on the day.
The official Twitter page of the team, @Argentina, took to the social networking platform to share photos from the party held on the player's honour at their football camp in Russia.
If Argentina fail to beat Nigeria on Tuesday in St Petersburg, they will crash out of the World Cup.
The Super Eagles will join Group D leaders Croatia in the next round if they defeat Argentina. A draw will be enough for Nigeria if Croatia avoid defeat against Iceland.
Messi, who has scored 64 goals in 126 appearances for Argentina since his senior debut in 2005, has struggled in Russia along with his teammates.
