According to fresh reports emerging, two female suicide bombers have been arrested by the Police in Abuja.

 
Two suspected female terrorists were on Monday, October 5 arrested by police officers in Abuja.
 
According to Leadership, the incident happened around 10.30am at the Gwarimpa Estate, CITEC end of the pedestrian bridge at the CITEC Junction Bus Stop.
 
The girls wearing hijab, but not covering their faces, were standing under the pedestrian bridge, as if waiting for somebody. More than 15 plain clothes police operatives arrived in two vehicles and stormed the place where the two girls aged between 16 and 18, were standing.
 
Three operatives showed the girls their Nigeria Police Force identification cards and asked them to get into the waiting vehicles. However, feeling resistance from the girls, more police operatives rushed to the scene and started forcing the girls to move. The girls were screaming and refusing to get into cars.
 
One of witnesses of the incident said that when he saw the girls standing for some time under the bridge, and he had an uncanny feeling that these girls might be terrorists. Therefore, he was not surprised when the police operatives arrived and picked them up.
 
When contacted ASP Anjuguri Manzah, the FCT command spokesman, said that he was not aware of the arrest, adding that he would make enquires.
 
Later on the same day, the Federal Capital Territory officials convened an emergency security meeting. FCT permanent secretary, John Chukwu, urged all the military heads to enhance surveillance in and around the FCT to prevent tragedies in the future.
