Hip-hop recording artiste, Lynxxx, who introduced himself to mainstream of Nigerian music in 2009 with 'Change your parade', has revealed that his inability to get signed to any of the already established music record labels in the country led him to float Syndik8 Records.
Chukie Edozien, who goes by the stage name, Lynxxx, has revealed that Syndik8 Records, which he found with his partner and music producer, Ikon, came into existence in 2004 as a result of his inability to get signed to any of the major record labels in the country.
Speaking on the journey so far, Lynxxx, who prides himself as the originator of "Jollof music" - an artful blend of music to create great music, said: "In 2008, my partner, Ikon and I built our first studio, 'The Syndik8 Redroom Studio' on the Island. We literally started recording and producing for all the music heavyweights in the industry at that time".
According to the hip-hop star, who made history by becoming the first Nigerian artist to be endorsed by the global brand Pepsi, his decision to relocate to Nigeria after schooling in the United Kingdom, where he bagged a degree in Business, Economics and Marketing, has paid off with considerable success.
"I moved back to Nigeria from the UK in 2009 and recorded 'Change Your Parade' a few weeks after. I started writing music in 1997 and my first time in a studio was at the Even Ezra Studios in 1999", he narrated
