Police Turns Bayelsa Upside Down Looking for Tompolo Over N45.9bn Fraud

The police detectives in Bayelsa state are not smiling as they have gone tough ransacking the nooks and crannies of the town in search of wanted militant leader, Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo.

It has been revealed that Niger Delta Militant Leader Government Ekpemupolo a.k.a Tompolo might be on the on the run as police detectives ransacked the creeks in Bayelsa State looking for him after an order for his arrest was issued many days ago.
 
Tompolo is wanted for his involvement in an alleged N45.9billion fraud.
 
Tori news gathered that Inspector General of Police has mandated his men in Bayelsa and the Bayelsa State Police Command to track down Tompolo as he is billed to appear in court this week.
 
Following the order, the detectives have been up and doing visiting and combing all possible areas Tompolo could be found. The search has not been productive. The police believe the former militant leader is on the run and might have gone into hiding.
 
It could be recalled that a Federal High Court in Lagos has granted a bench warrant for the arrest of the former militant to answer questions a 40 count charge on an alleged N45.9bn fraud.   
 
According to reports, the Force Public Relations Officer Bisi Kolawole confirmed  that the IG had directed his officers to apprehend Tompolo who has also been declared wanted.
