A young man in the South-south part of Nigeria has been gruesomely murdered by some cultists over a land dispute with his body yet to be recovered.
Godspower being brutalised by the cultists before death
Police detectives in Calabar are searching for a group of suspected cultists that hacked a man simply identified as Godspower for reportedly obstructing the sale of a parcel of land in the Eight Miles axis of the Cross River State capital.
The deceased, whose picture went viral on Facebook, was said to have been clubbed to death.
It was said that the Godspower suffered varying degrees of machete cuts while his hands were tied with a rope.
Southern City News gathered on Sunday from a security agent that the suspects had claimed on Facebook that the deceased was an armed robber that was clubbed to death in the Eight Mile area of Calabar after an operation.
But security reports gathered that the deceased was killed by the gang of eight because he had consistently opposed the sale of a parcel of land by the leader of the gang, identified as Edim Edim.
