Man Fights Fuel Attendant at Oando Filling Station Over N30 Change (Photos)

An all-out fight broke out at a filling station in Nigeria over a minute amount of money as the fuel scarcity gains momentum.

The man in question being held by attendants

A man visited an Oando filling station to buy Petroleum Motor Spirit, PMS and was to collect a change of N30 from the petrol station attendant after the transaction, but the attendant told him to return for the change as N30 wasn't available.

According to an eyewitness, the customer became infuriated and insisted his change must be provided immediately as the gas station already over-charged him with inflated price of fuel.

This led to a fracas between both parties as the customer dipped his hand into the attendant's pocket, took his money made from fuel sales and handed it over to a friend who was close-by. According to him, he wanted his change at all cost as a condition to return the seized money.

The argument gained intensity when the said friend holding the funds dramatically disappeared. The customer stubbornly stood his ground in his demand for his minute change of N30 as the only condition to return the huge money seized.

This led to him being seized and beaten by the other attendants at the filling station. Threats of locking him up at the police station were made.

This paints a picture of the current frustration of Nigeria as the biting fuel crisis looms again as accompanied with an unprecedented price hike.
