Mayhem in Ohaji-Egbema as Cultists Kill Nine in Imo

 

Fear and confusion struck the minds of residents of Ohaji-Egbema Local Government Area of Imo State at the weekend as cultists came on a revenge mission killing nine people.

 

It was gathered that the cultists came to avenge the killing of one of their members by another rival group. The victims including eight males and one female were killed when the DEEWELL cult group reportedly invaded Assa Awara community. One woman was killed at Obitte community.

 

The fight was between DEEWELL and DEEGBAM. It was gathered that DEEGBAM cult members had earlier killed a member of DEEWELL cult group. DEEWELL decided to revenge by taking down nine members from DEEGBAM in the bloody clash. 

 

Police sources which confirmed the story said that armed security operatives had been deployed to the troubled sports to fish out the culprits.
