It's April 1st and the fools game has been going on for hours as former vice president, Atiku Abubakar has already fallen prey to one of the pranks set by his kids.

April Fools' Day, sometimes called All Fools' Day, is celebrated every year on 1st April by playing practical jokes and spreading hoaxes. The jokes and their victims are called April fools.

Nigeria's former vice president, Atiku Abubakar, fell prey to one of the pranks set by his children as the world celebrates April Fool's day.

The Adamawa state-born APC chieftain took to his official Twitter page to call out his son and daughters for the prank and promise to pay them back in kind.

"My son @Mustyblax and sisters made a very funny #AprilFools joke this morning. I will make my own joke when it's time for monthly allowances," he said.
