Alhaji Ahmed Bakare, a public commentator from Zamfara State, has criticized the introduction of the new national anthem, stating that it does not address the current priorities of Nigerians.
Speaking with newsmen in Gusau, Zamfara State capital, Ahmed lamented that there is serious hunger and starvation in the country which he said the Tinubu administration needs to address urgently.
“The Federal Government is supposed to be mindful of the teething economic hardship biting Nigerians”, he added.
“It is only someone who has eaten that can have the strength to sing the National Anthem.
“Let the government focus on projects that have direct bearing to the common man.
However, he called on Nigerians to continue with their fervent prayers for the restoration of peace in the country.
