Fulani Herdsmen Cause Fatal Road Accident in Ogun ( Graphic Photos)

It was tears and sorrow as two men lost their lives during an accident involving Fulani herdsmen along Obada Oko area of the old Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, Ogun State.

Fulani herdsmen have reportedly caused a terrible accident along Obada Oko area of the old Lagos-Abeokuta expressway, Ogun State.
 
The accident which occured on Sunday left two persons dead.
 
According to PMnews, the accident involved two trucks, a green coloured Austin Tipper truck with registration number (LAGOS) KJA168 XP and a wine coloured DAF truck marked (OGUN) TRE 270 XA.
 
It was gathered that the accident occurred when a group of Fulani herdsmen were rearing their cattle along the expressway at Obada Oko in the Ewekoro local government area of the state. The sand filled Austin tipper truck crashed into the herd after while attempting to apply his break he lost control.
 
The driver of the tipper truck and his motor-boy, whose identities could not be ascertained as at the time of filing this report died on the spot after their truck had veered off the expressway and crashed into the bush.
 
 
One of the cows was also reportedly killed in the process.
 
The Public Relations Officer, PRO of the State’s Traffic Enforcement and Compliance Corp (TRACE), Babatunde Akinbiyi while confirming the news, disclosed that the driver of the other DAF truck which was fast approaching the scene of the crash, also lost control of his vehicle, swerved off the road and eventually crashed into the nearby bush.
 
Akinbiyi added that the two occupants of the DAF truck however, escaped the crash unhurt. Meanwhile, the remains of the deceased have been deposited at the morgue at Ifo General Hospital.
