Veteran dancehall singer, Augustine Ahmedu Obiabo, popularly known as Blackface has thrown his weight behind the ongoing protest against bad governance, hunger and hardship.
He however urged Nigerians participating in the ongoing nationwide protest to conduct themselves peacefully.
He pointed out that Nigerians are suffering, hence, the protest is justified.
The ‘Hard Life’ crooner also warned protesters against destroying or vandalising properties.
On his social media page, Blackface wrote: “My people, I know things are rough and tough and yes, we deserve better from our politicians in power enriching themselves while we, the people, have very little to get by!
“As we protest, please stay safe, as your life is important, and don’t go destroying people’s properties.”
