Szilard Horvath was fired for farting on live TV
The TV weather presenter who used bodily functions to illustrate windy conditions has been fired for farting.
Szilard Horvath says that he was trying to present the news about gales in his weather segment with a flavour of fun.
But his employers on Hungarian TV2 apparently took a dim view of the recorded noises he used in his broadcast and have shown him the door.
Reportedly brought in last year to give the bulletins a fresh perspective, he has admitted that the fart jokes were his own idea.
“If Mr Bean or Benny Hill farts, everyone laughs, but now a big deal is being made about this,” he complained.
On Monday, he posted on Facebook: “It’s turned out I can’t do the weather on TV2 any more … I need to find work."
He added a “feeling broken” emoticon.
