The Ondo State Police Command have arrested two suspects, Ifeanyi Obiefunna, aged 36 years, and Joseph Agwu, aged 43 years, who are part of a complex vehicle theft and vandalization syndicate that allegedly specializes in stealing vehicle brain boxes, tapping glasses, and other valuables from people's vehicles.
Parading the suspects at the Command headquarters in Akure, the state Commissioner of Police, Abayomi Oladipo, said painstaking effort later led to the arrest of Obinna Uyammadu, aged 32 years, and Onyeka Okoye, aged 38 years, who are also members of the syndicate.
He mentioned that one of the suspects, Joseph Agwu, who lives in Akure, confirmed that he sells second-hand wares, popularly known as Okrika, and serves as the informant to notify other suspects to come to the state to operate and return to Lagos.
Oladipo mentioned that the suspects would be charged in court at the end of the investigation.
