The EFCC has arraigned about 5 notorious land fraudsters who have been defrauding people money worth millions of naira.

Rita Okeke and four others were arraigned for engaging in land fraud

Justice O. O Goodluck of the FCT High Court, Maitama has remanded Rita Okeke and four others in prison custody for conspiring to forge land documents, impersonate the property owner and fraudulently sold a land in the Gwarimpa district of Abuja to one Honourable Mrs Ezeani Thankgod Nnamdi.

According to the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission, on June 14, 2016, one Rita Ukeke, Franklin Ibe, Mamam Mahammed Hamidu, Isei Pius Divine and Yusuf Ibrahim Muhammed were arraigned before Justice O. O Goodluck of the FCT High Court, Maitama on an eleven count charge bordering on criminal conspiracy, advance fee fraud, obtaining by false pretence and impersonation to the tune of 29 million naira.

The five accused persons are alleged to have conspired to forge land documents, impersonate the property owner and fraudulently sold a land in the Gwarimpa district of Abuja to one Honourable Mrs Ezeani Thankgod Nnamdi. Trial on the case continues.
