Wikes Son Denies $2.1m Abuja Land Deal Says His Signature Was Forged

Jordan Ezenwo Nyesom-Wike, son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, has denied any part in an Abuja land deal.

He told an FCT High Court presided over by Justice Silvanus Oriji that his signature on a land document shown in court was forged, and that he has no link with the people who brought the case.

Under cross-examination by the claimants' lawyer, Hamza Dantani, Jordan said he was out of the country around September 26, 2025, when he was said to have collected the money.

He said he never received money from anyone or signed any land deal document, and only learned his signature was on the paper on Tuesday, like everyone else in court.

He also said he never had a friend named Onor Sandy and had no land deal with anyone.

At the last sitting, the court ordered him to bring his travel passport.

On Wednesday he submitted a photocopy and promised to produce the original whenever the court needs it.

The order followed a request by the claimants' lawyer in the alleged $2.1 million land fraud case.

The suit, CV/008/2026, was filed by Safwan Garba GY and GY Global Oil and Gas Nigeria Limited against Jordan.

The claimants say they met him in London and became friends, then met again in Abuja about three months later, where they asked him to help them get land in the FCT.

They claim he agreed to arrange 30 hectares at Katampe and 30 hectares at Guzape for a fee of 2.1 million dollars, with 2 million for his father and 100,000 as his own fee.

They say the cash was handed over on September 26, 2025, in the presence of Adamu Sani, Aliyu Sarki and Sai Wani, while Jordan came with one Onor Sandy.

The case has been adjourned to December 1, 2026 for continuation of trial.
