Ghanaian actress Nana Akua Addo, whose real name is Rosemond Akua Adobea, has spoken out over several videos online that appear to show her in a domestic dispute with her husband, Harold Duodu Norman.

The videos have drawn strong reactions.

One reportedly shows the actress with injuries, while another shows a tense family meeting involving the couple and their children.

Through her lawyers, Nkrabeah & Associates, she asked the media and the public to stop sharing the videos, especially those involving her children.

The lawyers said the videos were leaked without her knowledge or consent, and that this is a serious invasion of her privacy and that of her children, who are all minors.

They urged media houses not to publish or share the footage, especially the one showing the alleged abuse of a minor.

They said the matter is delicate and the children are already dealing with enough trauma.

They also said the case is already in the hands of the authorities, thanked the Ghana Police for their quick response, and said their client will speak at the right time.

One of the videos shows the actress on what looks like a hospital bed with a drip on her arm.

She has a swollen lip and a cut under one eye, with bloodstains on her clothes and the floor.

Another shows a heated family meeting where the couple accuse each other in front of relatives and their children.

There are claims online that Norman assaulted one of their children, but accounts differ and nothing has been confirmed.

Norman's lawyers have denied that he caused the injuries seen in the video.

They said he was the one abused during the couple's 14-year marriage.

According to them, the footage of her injured lip is from an incident in 2021, when she allegedly tried to attack him with a knife.

They claim he used a dressing mirror to protect himself, it broke, and the glass hurt her mouth.

They said he took her to the hospital afterwards, that she recorded the footage herself, and that it only came out years later during their legal battle.

They also said the video alone does not prove he assaulted her.

Shortly before his reported arrest, Norman posted a video giving his own side of the story.

Both sides have given very different accounts, and the matter is under investigation.

The case has again sparked talk in Ghana about domestic violence, child protection and the danger of drawing conclusions from unverified videos online.
