The Nigeria Customs Service Kebbi Command has handed over farm chemicals worth N223.54 million to NAFDAC in Birnin Kebbi.
Area Controller Mahmoud Matawale Ibrahim made the announcement at a press conference at the command headquarters.
The seized goods include 500 cartons of Rezim Herbicide, 708 cartons of Gramosun, 1291 cartons of Sun-Paraquat, 1990 cartons of Gbeledzo and 1620 cartons of Gramostrong.
Officers caught them at different spots across the command's area.
The command also gave the NDLEA cannabis worth N2.52 million.
It handed over 37 rounds of AK-47 ammunition and 12 live cartridges for pump-action guns to the National Centre for the Control of Small Arms and Light Weapons.
Ibrahim gave credit to his officers for the catches.
He said the agencies need to keep working together to stop banned drugs, dangerous chemicals and illegal guns from reaching the market.
He also told importers, sellers and users of farm chemicals to follow the rules.
They must get the right approvals before they bring these products in, sell them or use them.
