Parents of a little baby suffering from a medical condition known as Hydrocephalus have cried out after their baby's head has kept on swelling.

The 50-day old baby girl identified as Rusaima who was born in Dutse, the Jigawa state capital with a a medical condition known as Hydrocephalus, has been captured on camera as she continues to bear severe pain in her head.

A check by TORI News reveals that Hydrocephalus (also called “water on the brain”) is characterised by head enlargement in infants, older children, and the extra fluid puts pressure on the brain and can cause brain damage.

Those who suffer from this condition experience headache, impaired vision, cognitive difficulties, loss of coordination and incontinence.

Treatment is often a tube (shunt) inserted surgically into a ventricle to drain excess fluid.

Meanwhile, parents of the little baby suffering from the medical condition are lamenting after being unable to take care of their child medically due to financial restraints.
