Bayelsa Man Who Shared His Lover's N*de Photos on Social Media to Blackmail Her Sent to Prison

A greedy man who was sleeping with a married woman has released her n*de photos after she opted out of the relationship with serious consequences.

A jobless man from Bayelsa State, South-South Nigeria, Richard Odukpo, 32, has been arrested and arraigned before a Lagos State Magistrate Court for allegedly posting the n*de pictures of his lover, a married woman with children, (name withheld) on the internet for refusing to pay him the sum of N380,000 to keep the love affairs secret from her husband.
 
A report by PM News revealed that Odukpo was arrested following a complain by the woman and arraigned before an Igbosere Magistrate Court on five-count charge of felony to posting lover’s n*de pictures on the internet, demanding with threat and conduct likely to cause breach of public peace.
 
Police prosecutor, Cyriacus Osugi informed the court in charge No. L/50/2017 that the accused committed the alleged offence on 22 August, 2017 at Badore area of Ajah, Lagos.
 
Osugi told the court that the complainant told the police that she had a relationship with the accused spanning one year and decided to stop it to save her marriage. But, Odukpo refused and demanded she pays N380,000. He threatened to release her nude photos if she refuses to pay.
 
The man sent her n*de pictures where she was having s*x with him to her phone to show how serious he is. 
 
Osuji said that the complainant further stated that the accused went ahead to post her love-making pictures with him on the internet which had gone viral on August, 2017 despite begging him not to post it so as not to destroy her marriage, wondering if it would not amount to foolishness on her part if she paid the accused the money for having s*x with her for almost one year.
 
The police officer added that the offences, the accused committed were punishable under section 56(A), 232, 301, 302, and 168 (D) of the criminal law of Lagos State, 2015.
 
The accused pleaded not guilty to the allegations in the open court and Magistrate S.K. Matepo granted him bail in the sum N100,000 with two sureties in like sum.
 
Matepe adjourned the case till 12 October, 2017 and ordered that the defendant be remanded at Ikoyi Prison, pending when he is able to perfect the bail condition.
