Kanye West could be erratic sometimes and even downright rude but that did not stop the School of the Art Institute of Chicago from recognizing his talents and achievements through the years at it conferred a honorary doctorate degree on him yesterday. He hardly smiles in public, but yesterday, he let loose of his trademark.

Kanye West has been awarded a honorary doctorate degree from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago at its annual commencement yesterday May 11th.

Kanye, who went to the award ceremony alone as his wife, Kim K and their daughter were in Brazil for the launch of her new clothing collection, was all brimming with smiles as he was conferred the honorary title of 'Dr'. Kanye West hardly smiles in public, but yesterday, he let loose of his trademark.
