Gunmen Kidnap Son of Namadi Sambo's Orderly and 3 Women in Kaduna

Unknown gunmen have stormed Kaduna state, kidnapping the son of former Vice President Sambo's orderly and three other women.

A four-year-old son of the orderly to former vice president, Namadi Sambo, Nasirudeen and three housewives have been kidnapped by unknown gunmen in Kaduna.
 
According to Leadership, the former vice president’s orderly, Sergeant Mahmood Mohammed said on Friday that his four year-old son was abducted in Marafa Estate of Kaduna metropolis.
 
Sergeant Mahmood revealed that the abductor had first picked up his six-year-old daughter and his son from their Marafa estate residence, but later dropped off his daughter along Sultan road and went away with the son.
 
He said, “The incident took place on the 19th of January while I was on duty with the former vice president in Abuja”.

“And since then, neither myself nor any member of my family has had contact with the kidnappers,” he said.
 
Sergeant Mahmood said “the kidnappers had on the 19th of January, Tuesday, driven into my Marafa estate residence with a Toyota highlander, silver colour at about 6:30 pm, and picked my two children under the guise that they were taken them to me.
 
“They (kidnappers) took them to No 10 Sultan road, gave the six-year-old girl one thousand naira and sent her to go buy meat. While she left on the errand, the kidnappers drove off with the innocent boy to an unknown destination. Since then, we have not had any contact with the kidnappers,” said Sergeant Mahmood.
 
Also, three housewives have also been abducted at Dorayi village in Zaria local government area of the State.
 
A resident of the area revealed that the armed kidnappers, numbering about 10 stormed the village on Sunday and made away with the women.
 
He gave their names as Maimuna Abubakar, aged 25, Mairo Hussaini aged 20, and Hauwa Ibrahim of 20 years old.
 
When contacted, the State Police Command confirmed the kidnapping. Spokesman of the command, DSP Zubairu Abubakar, said the police were on the trail of the kidnappers and have intensified surveillance across the state
