Nene Aderibigbe, mother of singer Ayra Starr, has criticised the influence of social media on young people, saying many of them now rely on other people's opinions instead of forming their own.
She said she is worried about the younger generation's heavy dependence on their phones and their failure to see their own talents.
She believes many Gen Z members are gifted but cannot recognise what they can do because of what they see online.
Her advice is simple. She urged young people to put their phones down for two or three hours a day, reflect on their lives and try meditation.
