Peter Obi Campaign Convoy Reportedly Attacked in Calabar

The campaign convoy of NDC presidential candidate Peter Obi has reportedly come under attack in Calabar, Cross River State.

Ester Umoh, a media aide to Obi, raised the alarm in a social media post on Wednesday.

She wrote that thugs were trying to attack the convoy.

The incident happened shortly after Obi arrived in Calabar with his wife, Margaret, and his running mate, Rabiu Kwankwaso, for a town hall meeting.

The attack, if confirmed, comes about two months after a similar incident in Benue State.

In that case, thugs blocked Boko Road near the Air Force Base to stop the former Anambra State governor from entering the state.
